Well Nrsimhadeva`s appearance day has passed, but as usual it filled us all with exstatic preme!!
The whole day was great including the wonderful play by the Children of the Gurukula.And as always we learnt more about Krishnas pastimes which are going on simultaniously on a universe somewhere.
I took many pictures which I have put on a slideshow, but unfortunatly my camera has now passed its sell by date so please excuse the quality.Please use my corkboard to paste any messages {news etc} and also please sign my guest Book.

THE THIN END OF THE VEG
The traditional roast and full English breakfast will be consigned to to history in less than 50 years if britons continue to turn vegetarian at the current rate. Dining tablres will be dominated by pasta and vegetables and meat-free protiens by 2047, stastistical analysis suggest. Just 6% of the population is vegetarian now but researchers at the consumers Analysis groups say 2000 people are converting every week . It claims the maths points to the population being predominatly vegetarian by 2047 which it believes is good news for the nations health.It suggest that the average vegetarian visits hospital 22% less often than meat eaters, saving the NHS. 220 pounds per person per year. JanWalsh of CAG said it seems like we will be entering an age where the nation as a whole has finnally begun to understand respect the enviorment. If we look back over the years people have taken up meat free life as a result of many different prinicples- from morallity and ethics,culture,taste and health through to dieting ,cost ,peer pressure, celebrity concern for the enviorment.You can almost imagine that the future it will be the norm to be vegetarian and people will have to consciously opt to eat meat rather than the other way round...etc etc....see the page on vegetarianism

My Dear Vasudeva,
Please accept my blessings. I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 5th August, 1970. I am very glad to know that you are very fully engaged in the duties of chanting regularly 16 rounds, going out on Sankirtana, performing arcana for the Deities and painting.
It is very encouraging for me to learn that you are so enthusiastic in the execution of your devotional services. So please be engaged 24 hours daily in sincere transcendental loving service of the Lord and your life in Krsna consciousness is sure to be successful. Many of our Temples are now requiring pictures of Pancatattva and Acaryas, principally your Spiritual Master and my Spiritual Master, for their Guru Gauranga worship. So I am confident that you can help them in this connection by painting many of these very important pictures of our Temples. No we have got so many new branches of our Society, so your assignment is already given to provide them in this way with paintings.
